Bonnie of the Pot Dragons

Bonnie of the Pot Dragons

Bonnie

Bonnie patiently waits for the flowers in her pot to bloom. Eating chocolate helps pass the time… she may have lost track of how much time has passed, and how much chocolate she’s eaten. Oh dear, the Pot Owners may start to notice their candy disappearing.
Wait, when did that flower appear?

Please help give her a loving home!

About Pot Dragons

These small dragons bury a single egg in a freshly potted plant. The dragonling that hatches resembles the plant that shares its pot. Once the dragon reaches adulthood, they grow wings and leave their childhood home behind. You may not have even known you had a pot dragon, only to discover one morning that one (or more) of your pots had been knocked over during the night!

Wilson takes keeping the existence of Pot Dragons a secret very seriously. He has managed to avoid attracting attention thus far to his presence, despite a few close calls.

Darn Cat.

Meet Hope, From The Pot Dragon Clan

Meet Hope, From The Pot Dragon Clan

Meet Hope, From The Pot Dragon ClanHope, of the Pot Dragon clan, may perhaps be the friendliest Pot Dragon. She often pops her head out of the soil to take in the world around her. The first time she did so, the plant owner was surprised, to say the least. Now, she has become accustomed to the the small dragon watching her. As long as Hope doesn’t eat the plant along with the dirt, they get along just fine.

Please help give her a loving home!

Maple Leaf After Storm

Maple Leaf After Storm

Maple Leaf after stormThis photo of a maple leaf brings back memories of being stuck inside with sick children.

Yep.

Two or more days before I took the photo all my kids, three at the time, came down with a nasty cold. With the chilly weather outside, mixed with rain and wind, the kids and I were trapped inside the house, with my husband bringing in any supplies necessary. Normally I love storms, but this one limited what I could do with my sick children. No fresh air or bright sun for them, or for me.

Finally I managed to sneak outside for some fresh air while the kids napped. The concrete stairs leading up to our parking lot were covered with a mix of green leaves blown off our trees and red leaves from the maples across the street. Even with the overcast skies blocking most of the sun, the red leaves still gleamed with water from the earlier rain.

For a very long time, this was my favorite photo. It gave me a chance to play around with select coloring, or whatever you call it. I love the black and white background, the bright color of the leaf in the forefront. This technique may have been overused, but I feel it works well here. With the storm ending, the kids getting better, my free time was ending.
